THE ST MAWES HOTEL WELCOMES GUESTS TO ‘THE COURTYARD ROOM’
The St Mawes Hotel welcomed guests to the new Courtyard Room for the first time with a cocktail reception unveiling the light, bright and stylish private dining, celebration and events space. On arrival guests were greeted by David and Karen Richards, owners of the St Mawes Hotel and sister hotel The Idle Rocks, and welcomed through the reception area with a glass of Knightor sparkling wine.
Guests enjoyed the first look of the new space which is the perfect venue for a wedding reception, dinner with family or friends, a private event or meeting place and is adaptable to six different room layout options including theatre, boardroom, reception and banqueting.

Karen was responsible for the design of the St Mawes Hotel and The Idle Rocks, and was on hand along with Manager, Ben Bass, and Head of Marketing and PR, Jo Di-Carlo. Guests were offered tours of the hotel to see the rest of the recently renovated property including the seven bedrooms, the upper deck and lower deck with bar area. Guests were also given the opportunity to have an exclusive peek of the hotel’s cinema which is due to launch this coming autumn.
The Courtyard Room caters for 20 to 60 guests depending on the format required from a cocktail reception to a more formal three course sit down meal for a wedding reception or special occasion. Day delegate packages are also available.
